Lilo is a 5 year old Husky lady looking for a new family to call her own. With energy to burn, Lilo would love a home where there is plenty of activity and where she can be in the thick of the action.
Lilo is a very happy, energetic girl who loves going for a run, walk and the occasional zoomie session, but hanging out with her people is what she loves best. She will stick around for cuddles and attention for as long as you are willing to give it, but settles down quickly when there is nothing going on.
When excited she can be quite vocal, particularly at walkies and dinner times, but she soon settles and isn’t a dog that will be noisy for no reason.
Lilo can pull on lead and when excited she can get jumpy and a bit mouthy, so these are behaviours her new owner will need to work on. For these reasons and due to her high energy, Lilo would need to go to a family where any children a bit older and are experienced with larger dogs and Husky antics.
Lilo has been living with Winter who is a chilled-out quieter Husky girl, so she would be suitable in a home either on her own or with a calm, tolerant dog of similar size.
Typical Husky rules apply with regard to requiring 6ft high secure fences and no small animals – Lilo has excellent jumping and climbing skills combined with a very strong hunting instinct, so cats, birds, possums etc. are just too tempting to chase! Obviously for an escape artist with such high prey drive, walks must always be on lead and under firm control – she can be quite a puller so her new owner will need to continue working on good lead manners.
Lilo has been in foster care for a long time and would love to find her forever home, so if you meet her requirements please apply!
Lilo is not available for interstate adoption and is not suitable for apartments, homes with very small yards or rural areas.
