This poor boy had been on the run for a long time before he was finally able to be brought into a regional local pound and taken care of.  Danny is now looking for a home to call his own with a family that is experienced with the Akita breed.

Danny’s typically naturally wary of strangers at first, but once he becomes comfortable, his playful, affectionate personality comes out!    He loves to high five you and ask for a butt scratch or cuddle.

As we don’t know anything about his history, initially he’ll need to be in a home with no small children or other animals.  He needs good secure fencing and a confident handler that has the patience, skills and understanding for his breed.

Can you foster or adopt this handsome young fella?   He desperately needs to get out of a pound environment and into a home that can give him the opportunities he needs.

Danny is not available for interstate adoption and is not suitable for apartments, homes with small yards or rural areas.
